Modern Kitchens From Elmar Cucine

Modern Kitchens From Elmar Cucine

We were browsing through Italian kitchen maker Elmar Cucine's catalog the other day and liked what we saw. The forms they use are simple with bold lines and sharp edges giving their designs somewhat of a masculine touch. This emphasis on simplicity is no accident and is expressed quite clearly in their philosophy: Elmar is not simply content to manufacture products, it wants to manufacture simple products. Simplicity is harmony, the happy balance between form and function that has its fulcrum, its deep meaning, in the human being. Some great images...

New Age Contemporary Kitchens

New Age Contemporary Kitchens

Check out this collection from Cuisines Morel. The old rule book is thrown clean out of the window when it comes to finish, color and creativity, seeing jaw dropping combinations of rustic, knotty cabinets against a graffiti backdrop, or bright sky blue gloss sandwiched right inside rich wood and white glass. Team all this with flashy extractor units that could easily be mistaken for contemporary works of art, just as at home in a sculpture gallery, and you're on to a winner. Modern chrome and nickel hardware sing against muted wood grain, and impressive pieces of industrial style lighting create an air of trendy loft living.

3 |
A rustic stone wall provides a stunning, contrasting pattern against the solid color slab cabinets.

4 |
5 |
A pale sink blends with the worktop, allowing the shiny modern faucet to take center stage, whilst vintage posters and prints create an eclectic look, and compliment the subtle streams of sophisticated color, appearing vibrant against mint green and warm grey.

Designer chairs and chic barstools keep the look polished and expensive, whilst book collections are carefully displayed to add a homely element to the vast, high ceiling spaces.

Kitchens That Make the Cut

Kitchens That Make the Cut

The amazing Artica kitchen by Estudiosat, was designed in answer to the challenge set by manufacturer Delta Cocinas to create a kitchen that stepped outside the box from the style of kitchens currently available on the marketplace; looking at the origami-esque geometric folds of these cabinet fronts, it appears as though that old constricting design 'box' has been stamped upon, to create one very new and edgy concept.

The cut ice-like surface comes without any compromise on functionality and results in no added company investment, maintaining traditional production processes and still managing to respect the environment.

The visual impact achieved here is also evident in several more kitchen creations from the company, here a few that caught our attention…

8 |
The rich wood teamed with industrial metallic shutters here gives a superb contrast, and note the use of differing workbench materials that compliment the two tones of cabinetry along the tall storage run.

9 |
Uber-chic wallpaper effect fronts on floating cupboards span an extensive wall run, resulting in an elegant textured focal feature.

10 |
Rustic wood grain is offset beautifully by a silky smooth, gloss white backdrop.

11 |
A chunky metal bench contradicts the unusual cabinetry faced with delicate art prints.

12 |
This zesty color story is tamed in dramatic dark gray, maintaining an expensive, bespoke feel.

Minacciolo Country Kitchens with Italian Style

Minacciolo Country Kitchens with Italian Style

While this Italian design firm's kitchen creations reflect a certain country styling, they seem to possess an elegant,Ă‚ refined qualityĂ‚ more suitable for a luxurious metropolitan home than a country cottage or farmhouse. The majority of Minacciolo's charming furniture is made of light finished or paintedĂ‚ woods in natural, mint green, robins egg blue, cream, and yellow. The kitchens we share here represent a myriad of differing country interpretations from vintage to retro to modern.

A retro kitchen is subdued in matte grey paint that resembles primer yet looks quite at home accented by the cream walls and natural finished furniture.

This charming country kitchen is awash in a lovely buttery yellow covering its cabinets, furniture and walls. It also boasts a vintage-like marble sink with farmhouse faucet.

15 |
The mint green we see in this kitchen is quite feminine. While all of the furniture is accented in a farmhouse style with open shelving, paneled doors and brass hardware.

This kitchen has a modern styling to it, unlike any of the other pieces in the collection. It is carried even farther in that direction by the purple tile backsplash and wall.

A pumpkin-hued china amoire adds a punch of color to this gorgeous old world style eat-in kitchen. It is certainly warm and cozy and feels like fall.
